Lib Dems - McINNES: EWING SET FOR A DIFFICULT TIME AT FIRE SERVICE HQS
Commenting, Liberal Democrat MSP for North East Scotland, Alison McInnes said:
"Mr. Ewing may have a difficult time when he visits the fire service HQs.
"His Government want to create a national police force and a single fire service.
"Liberal Democrats know that this will take decisions away from local communities.
"Local people are very concerned.
"The government's own figures showed that their plans would cut millions of pounds from local policing. The Chief Constable of Grampian Police is against the plans.
"We will campaign against a single, national police and fire service for Scotland."
